From December 2020 to April 2021, I worked at Turning Point LLC., a land surveying equipment company in Milwaukee, as a junior designer. I created advertisements (both print and digital), social media posts (Facebook, Instagram, etc.), and did video editing for the company YouTube page in Adobe Premiere.

Cliff, the founder and owner of Turning Point, makes an effort to employ other Wisconsin veterans at his business. For this series, I made a social media post for each veteran team member at Turning Point.

The Wisconsin Society of Land Surveyors, or WSLS, holds an annual event each year for Wisconsin businesses in the land surveying industry. Predictably, 2021’s event was made entirely virtual, and we decided to host a small get-together watch party at the Turning Point building. I was in charge of making social media ads and website banners to spread the word about our event.

Turning Point had an existing YouTube channel and a few videos when I started, but their videos were fairly low-tech and scant on editing. When Cliff asked if I could help film and edit videos showcasing new products, I did my best to up their production quality.
